Willie and I qualified for the AECs (American Eventing Championships) in September. I was really working for this all spring, and I did it! We placed 2nd, 1st, and 1st! All with clean cross country runs. Lol, one was almost too fast. The speed fault time (fastest you were allowed) was 4:00 minutes, and we clocked in at 4:02, but the best thing was, Willie had hardly broken a sweat! And he was breathing easily within 15 minutes! I'm super excited for schooling training level this summer, and I get to ride with Danny Warrington in a clinic at the end of June. If I like riding with him, and he likes me, I may ask about doing working student when I'm in college, and I can go to University of Delaware to get my Pre-Vet degree. After that...I'm not sure. On the matter of AECs, now I just need to work everything else out; transport, school, and MONEY. Money being the biggest issue first, but I will be working this summer, hopefully making money, and I'll be saving as much as possible for the show. There should be other people coming to AECs with me too, so we can hopefully split costs. I'M SO EXCITED.
